McCain: What it Takes

Summary
One of the biggest issues facing America is national security. McCain asked this question would Obama make you feel safe. McCain's attacks to Barrack Obama have proven otherwise in the polls. But in the Los Angeles Times Obama is said to have paid tribute to a Palestinian Scholar. The editors of the Times tried to get the connection between Rashid Khalidi and Obama but couldn't show a video due to a confidential promise. The New York times later states that the video shows a gathering in Chicago for Khalidi who is a friend of Obama and critical to Israel.
Opinion
I certainly like a few aspects of Obama and his campaign but i don't know if he is the most qualified candidate for the job. He has no experience with military which is huge. And with all these links to the middle east makes a unsteady feeling. I know America is "Paranoid" about terrorists and we associate the middle east with terrorism but if Obama wants to make so many friends do it in countries we already allied and have a past with. Much of the middle east is run but the Taliban and I am not saying Obama is a terrorist at all but like i said. I don't think America would be in the best hands given the information at hand.

Officials: Taliban fighters ambush, kill bus passengers

Summary
On Sunday the Taliban kidnapped and killed around 30 to 40 bus passengers. They were said to be civilians. Then the Taliban spokes person said they had killed around 27 Afghan soldiers. Who is to believe? It all happened last Thursday in Mai wand district of southern Kandahar Province. This area is very dangerous and heavily controlled by the Taliban. The Taliban spokes man said that the 27 soldiers were traveling by bus but the Afghan general said that no soldiers travel by bus they always fly.
Opinion
This is a serious problem that the U.S. has been trying to help with. The Taliban controls most of Afghanistan and if we pull out things will only get worse and we could be looking at another terrorist attack. The Taliban lied about killing the civilians. This terrorist group needs to be controlled and dealt with before it gets out of hand or else innocent people will be continued to be killed. It is very important that we show our support to the Afghan general and their soldiers as they are trying to establish their own democracy.

Bush: We're Going to Get Through This

Summary
Even though we are going through very tough times right now, Bush is confident that our economy will recover just like it has in the past. The $700 billion bailout was passed by Congress last week and it was immediately signed into law by Bush. "Its very much against my Policy" said Bush. He believes in free enterprise. People who make bad decisions in business should fail. But he said failure would have cost us. The Federal Reserve said on Tuesday about a radical plan to buy massive amounts of short-term debts in effort to break through a credit clog that is taking over the U.S. economy.
Opinion
It shows character that Bush is upbeat and confident but to be honest i don't think he feels some of the people's pain. I also think that its important that the government step in and do something about our dwindling economy. Hopefully the bailout plan works as it is projected to work. I like the radical plan to buy a lot of short term debts to get us out of this credit clog. Because that problem will effect us next year. From the way it looks right now it may be impossible to get a student loan to pay for college. And many colleges credit has frozen already and it is effecting many students.
