Obama Rejects Bush Iraq Withdrawl Plan

President Bush says that he is going to withdraw troops from Iraq but keep them "intact" until the next president takes over. Obama's concern is that the "American people will continue to pay $10 billion while the Iraqi Government sits on $79 billion surplus." Obama says that McCain says he is all about change but McCain believes in the same foreign policy as Bush does. Also that "McCain will continue the overwhelming focus on Iraq that has taken our eye off the terrorists who actually attacked us on 9/11."

I believe in what Bush is doing. To slowly ease our troops out of Iraq because if we pull all of them out right away it would be a drastic change for the Iraqi government. If something were to happen we wouldn't be there to help maintain order and we would be right back where we were. I think that taxpayers are more happy to support our troops over in Iraq than to pay more taxes on things that we don't really need to worry about right now. But at the same time its crucial that we do start to back out of Iraq. We have given a lot to the Iraqi government and helped them to be strong against terrorism. We cannot fight this war forever. I strongly believe that we haven't taken our eye off Afghanistan. We haven't had any threats or haven't heard much from Al Queda or Bin Laden.
